Tess Peterson: Editors welcome Loggers back to school

Tess Peterson, Assistant Editor

Happy late summer and early fall!

I hope that your semester is off to a great start. Whether you are an avid reader of The Lamp, a new student or a new reader, we are so happy that you have picked up the latest issue of The Lamp.

I personally am so excited to see what this year and 2020 brings us here at our schools’ newspaper. And of course, I can’t complain and am thrilled to be working with The Lamp’s new editors, Regina Ivy and Rosanna Cravens. I strongly believe that they will bring so much new, as well as thought-provoking pieces and art to our issues this year. Also, I am glad to be a collaborator in their process and get to share in the amazing articles we produce for our issues.

As always, this semester, I expect the articles I write to be broad spectrum. I love to get out of my comfort zone and write about different topics that I haven’t explored yet. In the past, I have written about sports, politics, campus news and various other topics. This year I want to try new things that maybe haven’t been ever written here at The Lamp before. And as always, I will always be happy to write anything that my editors need from me.

This year, I am also an assistant editor and ready to delve into all of my new responsibilities that come with that title.  I am eager to learn and ready to be the editor’s right-hand woman.

Here’s to a great year Loggers!
