Food and vendors to end Black History Month at LLCC

Lincoln Land Community College held an African American Food and Vendor Day event for Black History Month on Friday, Feb. 28. Alongside the “Illuminate Your Destiny” event featuring the Kenny Humble group.  

The event had 8 different vendors in total for the day, Poncho’s Homemade Caramel Corn combined with Uniquely C’s Jewelry Boutique, Handbags All Sizes, Iris J GraggHangups by Hickman, Curvy Closet 217, Springfield Urban League, INCand LLCC’s Black Student Union 

The food provided for those who attended the event enjoyed pulled pork, Mac n’ cheese, collard greens, and peach cobbler.  

Poncho’s Homemade Caramel Corn vendor had Cheddar Cheese popcorn and Caramel popcorn for purchasing, Uniquely C’s Jewelry Boutique had beautiful necklaces and earrings to buy. Also at the table, were World Finest Chocolate bars for fundraising.

Handbags All Sizes had all types of cute handbags, from shoulder bags, cross over bags, and little and big purses. They also had a few fedora hats to buy.  

Iris J Gragg, Paparazzi accessories had gorgeous necklaces, braceletsrings, and earrings.  

Hangups by Hickman had all types of hangups, sports-themed, Dr. Seuss themed, hangups for boys and girls, and holidays.  

Curvy Closet 217 had clothes including shirts and dresses and had necklaces, braceletsrings and eyelashes 

Springfield Urban League, INC provided condoms and lube for students at there vendor.  

Black Student Union had bookmarks with history on Black History MonthBracelets that said, “Linked by A Dream”, and pop sockets that said, “Black History from Struggle Comes Strength”.
