Mononym : Prince. Born Prince Rogers Nelson, on June 7th, 1958 in Minneapolis, MN was found dead today in Paisley Park.
American singer, actor, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter Prince spanned the music scene for 3 decades. With his 35 year career he had 39 solo albums, continually putting out new music with the sounds of galactic funk and psychedelic rock.
He had put out 4 full length albums since September of 2014. And was working on a new album with latest band “3rd Eye Girl”.
Prince had been in Atlanta performing two sold out shows when he was in route and had to make an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois. He, had been hospitalized just this past week for a bad case of the flu which was the reason for the emergency landing, where he was then rushed to the hospital and was not fairing well.
In past years he had problems with his longtime label Warner Bros. when he decided to use the love symbol as his name on his albums.
