The Lamp Staff
With changes in the State Universities Retirement System, Lincoln Land Community College saw an increase in faculty and staff retiring in 2014.
There were 23 faculty and staff who retired this year. That compares to 19 people retiring in 2013 and 16 in 2012.
Those 23 retirees had a combined 455 years of experience at Lincoln Land.
“These faculty and staff members had a wealth of knowledge that will not be easy to replace, but we look forward to working with our newhires who will bring new ideas and individual strengths to their positions,” said Junell Ransdell, associate vice president, LLCC Human Resources.
The 23 retirees were:
- Don Belford – Facilities Maintenance Technician after 28 years at LLCC.
- Ron Gregoire – Director of Admissions and Records after 27 years at LLCC.
- Cheryl Heitz – Professor of Computer Programming after 15 years at LLCC.
- Regina Hill – Coordinator of Employment and Training Program after nine years at LLCC.
- Bob Smith – Information Technology Specialist after 20 years at LLCC.
- Tyra Taylor – Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services after six years at LLCC.
- Richard Vertrees – Vice President of Administrative Services after 14 years at LLCC.
- Mary Fortner – Professor of English and Coordinator of the Writing Center after 31 years at LLCC.
- Theresa Kanoza – Professor of English after 16 years at LLCC.
- Jean Ladendorf – Professor of English after 17 years at LLCC.
- Bill McCall – Professor of English after 18 years at LLCC.
- Bill Callaway – Director of Associate Degree Radiography Program after 21 years at LLCC.
- Barb Charlton – Accounting Technician after 23 years at LLCC.
- Teresa Dickey-Rogers – Program Assistant of Retention and Student Success after 15 years at LLCC.
- David Laubersheimer – Dean of Arts and Humanities after 27 years at LLCC.
- Glenda Thomas – Administrative Assistant to the Dean after 29 years at LLCC.
- Russ Kuster – Professor of Electronics after 27 years at LLCC.
- Mindy Catteau – Coordinator of Registration Services after 26 years at LLCC.
- Jeri Buckner – Professor of English after 24 years at LLCC.
- Brenda Brown – Child Development Teacher after 17 years at LLCC.
- Judy Wagenblast – Director of Community Education after five years at LLCC.
- Grace Carriker – Academic Success Professional after 14 years at LLCC.
- Lopian Jeff – Mechanical Maintenance Technician after 26 years at LLCC.
