SPRINGFIELD – Fifteen nursing students at Lincoln Land Community College were inducted into the Beta Nu chapter of the National Organization for Associate Degree Nursing on Nov. 21.
The inductees were:
- Lynexia Chigges, Robert Cory, Valerie Rife, Amanda Verway, Brittney McGee, Tara Runkles, Amy Marx and Chris Flatt, all of Springfield
- Jessica Akers and Zach Heim of Chatham
- Deanna Broom of Riverton
- Lora Reeter of Taylorville
- Brandi Satterlee of Litchfield
- Deanna Steinkruger of Greenview
- Kelley Woods of Sherman
The students were required to maintain stringent academic requirements and complete a community education project prior to induction.
At the ceremony, each student was recognized with a certificate, an Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society pin and peach cords to wear at graduation.
“These students have demonstrated a continued commitment to professionalism, integrity and academic excellence in the profession of nursing,” said Dr. Pam Bradley, professor of nursing and faculty advisor to the Beta Nu chapter. “Their dedication will have a positive impact on healthcare in this community.”
