Registrations being accepted for Community Education non-credit opportunities
SPRINGFIELD—Lincoln Land Community College welcomes Jamie Stout, of Springfield, as the new director of Community Education.
Stout brings numerous years of professional experience in nonprofits, management and youth programming. Prior to joining LLCC, she was the director
of membership and volunteerism for Girl Scouts of Central Illinois. She was employed there for 13 years in various roles throughout her tenure.
Stout was named “Forty under 40” by the Springfield Business Journal as an up and coming leader in the community and is a graduate of Leadership Springfield. She received her associate degree from LLCC, and a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Public Administration from University of Illinois-Springfield.
Stout is currently serving as President of Illinois Women in Leadership, Capital Campaign Chair and is incoming president for Springfield Ballet Company, secretary for Leadership Springfield through The Greater Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, and is a “big sister” for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Part of her role as director of Community Education includes developing the programming of LLCC’s non-credit personal enrichment opportunities at LLCC’s on- and off-campus locations. These non-credit classes and workshops are open to adults looking for personal interest and skill-building opportunities and are offered in a variety of topics.
Registrations are being accepted now for fall 2014 offerings.

- Conflict Resolution
- Therapy Dogs
- Engraved Art Glass
- Social Media Made Simple and Fun
- Renovate Your Resume.
In addition, a variety of non-credit food and wine classes are offered through the Culinary Institute including:
- Eating for health, baking and desserts
- Kitchen and baking boot camps
- Holiday foods
- Parent and child classes (in addition to special cooking topics and Bistro Verde dinners).
