Lincoln Land is full of talented musicians and composers. People that use their voice and show us their passion through their music. I had the chance to sit down with sophomore Abigail Shaver one of these music/music composition majors.
Lamp Online: What made you want to go LLCC?
Abigail Shaver: My dad is a professor at LLCC and going to here would mean that I get free tuition. I t is also a great education.
LO: What high school did you go to?
AS: I was homeschooled and did co-ops at Cherry Hill Baptist Church through Springfield Area Co-Ops I took a photography class, a course on History through the movies and an SAT prep course.
LO: What do you plan to do after LLCC?
AS: I have already been accepted to Bradley and to plan to go there to be apart the Class of 2018. I have received scholarship funds, through local musical group, to attend Bradley.
LO: What do some of your hobbies include?
AS: In my spare time I love to compose, practice drawing, hang out with friends, go shopping, and write short stories.
LO: What is your favorite genre of music?
AS: I love to listen to alternative music like Imagine Dragons and Deas Vail, but I also love show tunes and Disney music like Beauty and the Beast.
LO: Where is the dream city you would love to live?
AS: Denver, CO
LO: If you could have dinner with any two people dead or alive real or fictional who would you have dinner with?
AS: John Williams (Flim Score composer of Star Wars, Jaws and Harry Potter) and the doctor from Doctor Who.
LO: What is your go to comfort food?
AS: Mashed Potatoes
