SPRINGFIELD – Lincoln Land Community College has formed a Response Team to assist students from Benedictine University of Springfield who may wish to transfer to LLCC.
The team ismade up of academic, financial aid and student success advisors.
Following a meeting Monday, Oct. 27 with Benedictine officials, LLCC announced that it will be represented at a Transfer Fair at Benedictine on Tuesday, Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. From 3-7 p.m. that day, the LLCC Response Team will conduct a program at Benedictine outlining specific information for transfer students and parents. It will provide an opportunity for them to meet individually with LLCC team members to assess transcripts, financial aid and individual course and credit transfers.
“We want to assist Benedictine students in any way we can to provide a seamless transfer to LLCC, so that they can continue their academic programs,” said Dr. Charlotte Warren, LLCC president.
She added that the LLCC Board of Trustees is planning a special meeting to discuss other ways LLCC can support Benedictine students and families during this time of transition.
