SPRINGFIELD – The Lincoln Land Community College Recital Series continues Sunday, Dec. 7 with Flute Chamber Music featuring Dr. Abigail Walsh.
The performance begins at 4 p.m.in the Trutter Center at LLCC’s Springfield campus, and is free and open to the public.

Illinois based flutist Walsh has performed as a solo, orchestral and chamber musician throughout the U.S.
She is on the faculty at the University of Illinois-Springfield where she coaches chamber groups and music ensembles, teaches music courses and performs in solo and chamber recitals.
She holds a doctor of musical arts and master of music degrees from the University of Hartford, the Hartt School, and the bachelor of music degree from the University of Iowa.
While living in Connecticut from 2006-11, she was principal flutist with Hartford Opera Theater and regularly performed with New Music Hartford, and the Wildwood Groups.
An Iowa native, she held the principal flute position with the Ottumwa Symphony and the Oskaloosa Symphony from 2003-06, and was a member of the Cedar Rapids Municipal Band.
